I have many cameras onboard Avemar. I usually carry my iPhone 14 Pro Max and share those snapshots frequently. I’ve posted images from my PaperShoot and Kodak half-frame camera before. I regularly post photos on Notes made with high-end professional Canon bodies and lenses.
I’ve recently added to my camera collection.
I was searching for a small camera to take backpacking without needing a bag of lenses and batteries. I bought a small, simple-to-use, but sophisticated “point-and-shoot” with many of the features of my most expensive cameras. I’m carrying around the new Fujifilm X100VI, and I love it!
I was asked to take candids at a wedding rehearsal dinner last week, so I brought the new camera. I also carried it to the wedding, where I sat in the front row.
I’m now the “Uncle Bob” that professionals warn brides about.
I’ve picked out a variety of scenes and typically tricky lighting situations from the weekend to share to show the camera's capabilities rather than try to build a wedding portfolio that might be shown to a bride and groom.
The images were shot without a flash using available light. These screenshots show Photo Mechanic, the software I use to catalog and cull my files before editing, and show the “straight-out-of-camera” uncropped images before color correction. Risky, yes, but it is the Fujifilm X100VI.
I’m eagerly awaiting your comments.

Looks Great Bill. I've been looking for something more compact that will bridge the gap between the iPhone and my Pentax K-70. This may fit the bill. By the way, I took my Pentax K-30 Backpacking. With a strap connector from peak design, it worked great. I just had to limit my lenses.
Looks great. I'm a Canon girl and amazedmat the quality my Android can produce. We bought an Olympus pas sport water resistant and Steve loves it.
