Over the past few weeks, I've been trying to figure out what to do with my "these are too big for a backpack" cameras while I'm thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail this year.
This morning, I decided to let someone enjoy these two camera bodies instead of having them sit in a closet for seven months this year.
Canon R3 body, two batteries, and a charger. $3200
This Canon R3 is the best camera I've ever used. It's in perfect working condition. The clairvoyant mind-controlled* autofocus is so good I’m not even sure how it works. It just works. Perfectly. If you are into shooting sports, wildlife, or any subject where very fast and precise autofocus is needed, this is the camera for you. The continuous eye-tracking when photographing animals is insane. This camera is amazing. SN: 12031000172 Shutter count: 38,000
Canon RP body, extended grip, two batteries, and a charger. $600
My Canon RP was my first mirrorless camera. In fact, I’ve owned two of them in the past. I love this little camera! I’ve owned several Canon mirrorless cameras since I purchased this RP, but I kept this one because it’s so small and made for a great backup body if something ever happened to one of the others. It’s a perfect entry-level camera for beginners who want to shoot mirrorless but have the option to control every setting. It’s a great street photography body, too. This RP reminds me of my very first camera, the Pentax K1000, but one with a modern-day brain. This body includes an extended base to give those with larger hands more surface to grip. It was very lightly used and stored in my camera bag. It looks great and operates perfectly. SN: 52022001437 Shutter count: 15,000
I'm firm on the prices. Please share with your photo geek friends!
*Hat tip to my friend Ken Rockwell for that description of the R3 autofocus. Please check out his site for extensive reviews of both of the cameras listed here. In fact, visit KenRockwell.com for everything you want to know about any camera!
Yeah that R3 is a boss, lucky I’m close to retirement or I’d be sorely tempted
